36　agree 用法難點(diǎn)

① agree to do sth.表示“同意做某事”。

We agreed to help them with their studies. 我們同意幫助他們學(xué)習(xí)。

She agreed to speak at the meeting. 她同意在會上講話。

② agree on/upon sth.表示“對……取得一致意見”，指參加協(xié)商的人或單位經(jīng)過商定后，對某個問題達(dá)成一致意見或具有相同看法，后常跟日期、條件、價格、計劃、行動等。

They have agreed on the date for the next meeting. 他們已就下次會議的日期達(dá)成了協(xié)議。

They couldn't agree upon the price. 他們對于價格不能取得一致意見。

They all agreed on making an early decision. 他們都同意早做決定。

We have agreed on the price for the villa. 我們已就那幢別墅的售價達(dá)成一致。

The whole family agreed on the island for their holiday. 全家商定去那個島上度假。

We agreed on putting the meeting off. 我們同意把會議延期。

=We agreed to put the meeting off.

③ agree to sth.表示“同意，贊成”對方提出的建議、計劃、要求等(plan，suggestion，request，scheme，etc.)。

He agrees to the plan. 他同意這項計劃。

She doesn't agree to this arrangement. 她不同意這項安排。

The manager has agreed to your request. 經(jīng)理已經(jīng)同意你的要求。

They don't agree to the arbitration of the court. 他們不同意法院的調(diào)解。

Her father has agreed to engaging herself to John. 她父親已經(jīng)同意她同約翰訂婚。

④ agree with表示“同意，贊成”某人，或同意某個看法、意見、問題(somebody，one's view，etc.)。

All of us agree with her opinions. 我們大家都同意她的意見。

I can't agree with him/his views. 我不能同意他/他的看法。

The two brothers don't quite agree with one another. 這兄弟倆意見不太一致。

You ought to agree with her that smoking will do harm to you. 你應(yīng)該贊同她的意見，吸煙會傷害你的身體。

提示

agree with還表示“(食物、氣候、藥品、衣服等)適合，適宜，與……一致”，主語必須是物。

The food there didn't agree with me. 我不適應(yīng)那兒的食物。

The coat doesn't agree with her. 這件外衣她穿不合身。

⑤ agree with sb. on/about sth.表示“在某方面或某個問題上與某人看法一致”。

I agree with him on that matter. 我在那個問題上與他的看法相同。

I don't agree with you about the question. 關(guān)于這個問題，我和你的看法不同。

Teachers rarely agree about the method of teaching. 關(guān)于教學(xué)方法，教師很少能夠取得一致。

They never agree about politics. 他們的政見總是不同。

⑥ agree+that從句表示“同意，贊同”。

I agree that we should spend more time on reading. 我贊同我們應(yīng)花更多的時間進(jìn)行閱讀。

He agreed that he would help me with the work. 他同意幫助我做這項工作。

⑦ agree+what/who從句表示“同意，贊同”。

They could not agree who should speak at the meeting. 他們對誰在會上發(fā)言意見不一致。

They didn't agree what should be done next. 他們對下一步該做什么意見不一致。

⑧ agree單獨(dú)使用，表示“同意，通過，答應(yīng)”，可作及物動詞或不及物動詞。

He will never agree. 他不會同意的。

The arrangement has been agreed. 這項安排被通過了。

I agree her to do the work.

(不可說agree sb. to do sth.)
