146　care for，care about，care to do sth.，take care of和I don't care

① care for意為“愿意，喜歡，關(guān)心，照料”，后跟名詞或代詞。care for作“關(guān)心，照料”講時(shí)，一般用于肯定句或疑問句。

Would you care for a cup of coffee？來一杯咖啡好嗎？（=like）

He doesn't care for her. 他不喜歡她。

Tom cares for sweets very much. 湯姆非常喜歡吃糖。

Who will care for your child when you are not at home？你不在家里，誰照顧你的孩子？

② care about意為“關(guān)心，關(guān)切，在意，計(jì)較”，后跟名詞、動(dòng)名詞或從句，常用于否定句。

He doesn't care about clothes. 他對(duì)衣著不在乎。

She never cares about other people. 她從不關(guān)心別人。

He doesn't care about losing the job. 他不在乎失去工作。

③ care to do sth.表示“愿意做某事”。

I don't care to meet him. 我不愿見他。

Would you care to go for a walk with me？你愿意跟我去散散步嗎？

④ take care of意為“照料，照顧”，相當(dāng)于look after。

The old lady must be taken good care of. 這位老太太一定要很好地照料。

提示

take care of 還表示“妥善保管，對(duì)付”。

He doesn't care for his money.

He doesn't take care of his money.

他沒妥善保管好錢。

Don't worry；I can take care of it. 不要擔(dān)心，我能對(duì)付得了。

⑤ I don't care意為“我不在乎”。類似結(jié)構(gòu)還有：I don't know（我不知道），I don't mind（我不介意）。

I don't care what they say. 我不在乎他們?cè)趺凑f。

I really don't care when he will pay me back. 我真的不在乎他什么時(shí)候還錢。

I don't care what you do. 我不在乎你做什么。

I don't mind if you stay or go. 你去留我都不在乎。

You don't know how important it is to me. 你不知道這對(duì)我是多么重要。
