① right作副詞可表示“正確地，對(duì)；好，合適地；正當(dāng)?shù)?，公正地；正，恰恰”?

It's none of your business whether he acts right or wrong. 他的行為合適與否，不關(guān)你的事。

He turned up right after supper. 他吃過(guò)晚飯就來(lái)了。

The snowball hit him right on the nose. 雪球恰好擊中他的鼻子。

② rightly意為“正確地，公正地”，正式用詞。

The decision was rightly made by the committee. 決定由委員會(huì)正確做出。

He was punished，and rightly. 他受到了懲罰，公正的懲罰。

提示

right作“正確地”解時(shí)，多用于非正式談話中，并且只用于動(dòng)詞之后。另外，表示“向右，向右邊”只能用right。
