　　make up for something 補(bǔ)償，罰款

　　用別的東西補(bǔ)償丟失的東西。make up for 后面接上丟掉的東西就可以了。另外，make it up to somebody 表示“因自己犯下的錯(cuò)誤向?qū)Ψ奖硎菊鎿吹牡狼?rdquo;。

　　That'll give us a chance to make up for lost time.

　　是補(bǔ)償逝去時(shí)間的時(shí)候了。
