A burner, "burner," is where the fire or the heat comes on a stove. 火和熱都是經(jīng)過(guò)燃燒器(burner)從爐子里出來(lái)的。

The stove, or stovetop, is the part of the machine in your kitchen where you can cook food. 爐子，或者說(shuō)灶臺(tái)，屬于廚房機(jī)器，你可以在廚房里做飯。

In our house, for example, you can turn on the burner and fire - flames we would say - start to come out. 比如，在我們家，打開(kāi)燃燒器，火(火焰)就出來(lái)了。

And then, you put the pan on top of the fire - on top of the flames, 然后你可以把平底鍋放在火上，火焰的上方，

and you put the meat and the oil and the vegetables, or whatever you are cooking, in the frying pan. 再把肉、油、蔬菜或者其他東西放到煎鍋里。

To fry, "fry," is a way to cook food by putting it over heat in a pan. 煎(fry)指把食物放在平底鍋里加熱，是一種烹飪方式。

In addition to putting the frying pan on the burner, which is part of the stovetop, Lucy pours "a little oil in" the pan. 把煎鍋放在燃燒器(灶臺(tái)的一部分)上之后，露西往平底鍋里倒了“一點(diǎn)油”。

Oil, "oil," is a liquid fat that you put in a pan to help the food cook better. 油(oil)是液態(tài)的脂肪，你可以倒在鍋里，做出來(lái)的食物會(huì)更好吃。

Lucy says that when "the eggs are cooking," she puts "two pieces of bread into the toaster." 露西說(shuō)“雞蛋在鍋里煎著”的時(shí)候，她“又往烤箱里放了兩片面包”。

Two pieces of bread could also be two slices of bread. A slice, "slice," is a piece of bread, in this case. 兩片面包也可以說(shuō)是兩個(gè)面包片。面包片(slice)在這里就是一片面包。
