Sometimes people just say foil instead of aluminum foil; they mean the same thing. 有時(shí)人們只說(shuō)箔紙，不說(shuō)鋁箔紙;它們的意思是一樣的。

It's like a sheet of paper but it is made of metal, and you can use it to wrap things in - to put things in. 就像是一張紙，但它是由金屬制成的。你可以用它包東西——即把東西放進(jìn)去。

Here, Lucy is using it to keep the cookie sheet clean -to protect the cookie sheet. 這里，露西用它保持烤盤干凈——目的是保護(hù)烤盤。

That's why she uses the aluminum foil; she doesn't have to wash, or do, any dishes. She just throws the foil away. 這就是她使用鋁箔紙的原因。她不用清洗餐具，她只是把鋁箔紙扔了。

After she puts the foil on the cookie sheet, she shapes "the dough into circles." 把鋁箔紙放進(jìn)烤盤后，她把面團(tuán)揉成圓形。

The dough, "dough," is a thick material - a thick substance that we use to make cookies. 面團(tuán)，“面團(tuán)”，是厚的——一種我們用來(lái)做餅干的粘稠物質(zhì)。

We also use that word, dough, when we are talking about pancakes or waffles, types of food that you would eat in the morning. 當(dāng)我們談到早上吃的食物種類，薄餅或者華夫餅時(shí)，我們也使用“面團(tuán)”這個(gè)詞。
