Great, wide, beautiful, wonderful world,

偉大的，寬廣的，美麗的，奇妙的世界，

With the wonderful water round you curled,

奇妙的河流盤旋圍繞著你，

And the wonderful grass upon your breast,

奇妙的綠草覆蓋在你的胸膛，

World, you are beautifully drest.

世界，你被裝點(diǎn)得太美了。

The wonderful air is over me,

奇妙的空氣包圍著我，

And the wonderful wind is shaking the tree;

It walks on the water, and whirls the mills,

You friendly Earth! how far do you go

With the wheat fields that nod, and the rivers that flow;

With cities and gardens, and cliffs and isles,

Ah, you are so great, and I am so small,

I tremble to think of you, World, at all:
