We use that word, curtain, also for the things that you can put over your window in your house or apartment, 我們也用“curtain”這詞來(lái)表示你掛在房子或公寓窗戶上的東西，

so nobody can see inside; that's also called a curtain. 有了它，就沒(méi)人能看到里面;那個(gè)東西也叫做“curtain”。

Well, "I pull the shower curtain aside," meaning I put it to one side—the left side or the right side. 那么，“我先把浴簾拉到一邊，”意思是我把它放到了一邊——要么是左邊，要么是右邊。

I "step into the tub, and I pull the curtain back," I put it back in its original position. 我“踏入浴缸，然后拉回浴簾，”我把它放回到它原來(lái)的位置。

"I turn on both the hot and the cold water." “我把冷水和熱水水龍頭都打開(kāi)。”

To turn on means that I turn the faucet on so that the water comes out. 打開(kāi)的意思是我擰開(kāi)水龍頭，這樣水就能流出來(lái)。

Remember, the faucet is where water comes out for a sink; it's also where the water comes out for a tub or a shower. 請(qǐng)記住，水龍頭的水不僅可以流到水槽中，而且還可以流到浴缸或淋浴器里。

Actually, for the shower—the top of the shower, we don't normally call that a faucet, we call that a showerhead, "head." 事實(shí)上，流到淋浴器里——淋浴器的頂部，我們一般不把它叫做水龍頭，而叫蓮蓬頭。

So, the showerhead is where the water comes out when you're taking a shower. 所以，你沖澡時(shí)，水從蓮蓬頭流出來(lái)。

And, if you are drawing a bath, meaning if you are putting water into your tub to take a bath—to draw a bath—then you use the faucet. 而且，如果你在放浴水，意思是你把水放到浴缸里來(lái)洗澡——要放浴水——那你就要用水龍頭。
