To grab, "grab," means to take something, usually with your hand. 掰(grab)，意思是拿著某物，一般是用手。

To grab something with your hand means to pick it up—to take it with your hand. 用手掰某物意思是你抓著它——用手拿著它。

"I grab a banana," which I like to eat, and "a slice of toast with jam." “我掰一根香蕉，”我喜歡吃它，以及“一片果醬吐司。”

Toast, "toast," is bread that you put in something called a toaster, "toaster," 吐司(toast)，是你放進(jìn)吐司機(jī)(toaster)里的面包，

and the toaster heats up the bread until the bread is brown on the outside. 這個(gè)吐司機(jī)會加熱這面包直至其表面變成棕色。

A slice of toast, "slice," is a piece of toast. 一片(slice)吐司，就是一塊吐司。

We use the words slice when we are talking about one piece of bread, or one piece of cake. 我們在說到一塊面包或一塊蛋糕的時(shí)候用“slice”這個(gè)字。

You can have a slice of cake; you can also have a slice of pie. 你可以有一塊蛋糕;也可以有一塊餡餅。

This is a slice of toast, which is bread that we put in a toaster, and we toast the bread. 這是一片吐司，它就是我們放在吐司爐里的面包，我們烤這個(gè)面包。

We can use toast as a verb as well. “Toast”也可以用作動詞。

And, after I toast the bread, I can put butter on it or I can put jam, "jam." 而且，烤完面包后，我會在它的上面涂上黃油或果醬(jam)。
