Usually a briefcase is square and it usually has hard sides on it, many times it has a lock on the top; that's a briefcase. 公文包一般是方形的，并且有硬邊，它頂部常常有鎖;那就是公文包。

A lot of people nowadays do not use a briefcase; they use a computer bag, 如今很多人都不用公文包;他們用電腦包，

a bag that they can put their computer and other information in, including their papers. 他們可以用來裝電腦和公文等其他資料的包。

Well, I put my things into my computer bag, 嗯，我把物品裝進(jìn)電腦包，

The expression, on the way out, means that you are about to leave or you are leaving your house, in this case. 短語“on the way out”，在這里的意思是你將要離開你的房子。
