11、員工與公司的磁場(chǎng)也要合

在Amy在家休息的一周中，她總是在跑東跑西地準(zhǔn)備搬家要帶的東西。Nancy有時(shí)間的時(shí)候也去幫忙。要帶的行李很多，女孩子就是這樣，尤其是像Amy這樣fashionable（時(shí)尚的）、愛打扮的女孩子，光衣服就有三大箱子，另外還有一些生活用品呀，書籍呀，洋娃娃呀，又滿滿地裝了兩個(gè)suitcase（箱子）。隨身帶著肯定是unpractical（不現(xiàn)實(shí)）了，于是兩個(gè)人便叫了post office（郵局）要求door-to-door（門對(duì)門）的delivery service（投遞服務(wù)）。因?yàn)樾欣钐?，光delivery fee（快遞費(fèi)）就花了500塊“大洋”。

Amy訂了周日上午九點(diǎn)去上海的飛機(jī)票，Nancy抱怨這個(gè)flight time（航班時(shí)間）選得不太好，大周末的不讓她睡個(gè)好覺。但是好朋友出遠(yuǎn)門，無(wú)論如何都得爬起來(lái)送她。周日Nancy起了個(gè)大早，匆匆趕到Amy家，兩個(gè)人打車趕到機(jī)場(chǎng)時(shí)已經(jīng)是八點(diǎn)零五分了，她們正急著沖向security check entrance（安檢口）時(shí)。忽然聽到廣播里傳來(lái)“因?yàn)樘鞖庠?，從北京飛往上海的航班推遲起飛，登機(jī)時(shí)間另行通知。”這讓兩個(gè)人簡(jiǎn)直要抓狂了，起了這么一個(gè)大早，趕到機(jī)場(chǎng)，現(xiàn)在不知道還要等多久了。沒有別的辦法，只得先找個(gè)地方等著。

轉(zhuǎn)了一圈，兩人在Starbucks坐了下來(lái)，各要了一杯Espresso（意大利濃縮咖啡）提提神。她們剛坐下，就有個(gè)金發(fā)女郎款款走過(guò)來(lái)，跟Nancy打招呼。Nancy乍一看沒認(rèn)出來(lái)這個(gè)人，再仔細(xì)一看，竟然是去年離開Innovo的Joanna。一年不見，她看起來(lái)變化很大，更加fashionable了，但還是那么活力四射，帶著一臉燦爛的笑容。Nancy趕緊幫Amy和Joanna互相作了介紹。當(dāng)Joanna得知Amy是在她離開Innovo不久加入這家公司的時(shí)候，禁不住笑了出來(lái)。Nancy明白她的想法。去年這個(gè)時(shí)候，本來(lái)在Innovo干得很好的Joanna，突然提出quit（辭職），就從Innovo disappear（消失）了，第二天大家才知道，她是被hunter挖到了另一家Canadian（加拿大的）公司。因?yàn)镴oanna走后和原來(lái)的同事都沒有了什么contact（聯(lián)系），大家漸漸地都快把她忘記了。沒想到今天在機(jī)場(chǎng)再次遇到了她。談起各自現(xiàn)在的情況，Nancy先講起了Innovo這一年來(lái)的發(fā)展變化，之后她問(wèn)Joanna新的工作怎么樣。Joanna眉飛色舞地開始講述她的經(jīng)歷。

What's it like? I'm quite happy. There are good promotion prospects if you're interested. And there's a very good training scheme. At the moment — did I tell you? — I'm considering a transfer to another division. But I'll tell you about that in a minute. Apart from that… Well, salaries are quite competitive; there's a generous profit-sharing scheme too. There's also a five-week holiday allowance, which is better than a lot of firms.

What else is there to say? A company car, of course. Quite a good pension scheme. That's it. The only thing I wasn't happy about was the fact that when I started the job, the relocation expense weren't very generous; you know, buying a new house, moving the family, all that sort of things cost money. Anyway, I survived it.

To be honest, I feel much better here. I am not sweet-talking to join us if you are not interested. So you are happy with Innovo so far, right? I don't really understand that. There must be something special about the company you would like to work for. Innovo is definitely not my type. It is no problem for you. So, lucky you.

看來(lái)Joanna對(duì)她的新工作還是挺滿意的，但Nancy心里一直有個(gè)question mark（問(wèn)號(hào)），Innovo的待遇也不錯(cuò)啊，怎么當(dāng)年就留不住Joanna呢？這個(gè)機(jī)靈的姑娘看出了Nancy的疑問(wèn)，她說(shuō)：“其實(shí)呀，工作也是講緣分的，有些公司雖然很好，可就是不適合你，這也是沒有辦法的事情?！边@句話引發(fā)了Nancy的思考：如果說(shuō)工作也要講緣分，那么自己和Innovo應(yīng)該算是很有緣分的吧。
