In Zambia, I was trying to climb a slippery rock face. 在贊比亞 我嘗試爬上一個(gè)濕滑的巖面

I was already a couple of hundred feet above the river,and one slip here could be fatal. 當(dāng)時(shí)我已經(jīng)爬到河谷上好幾十米了 腳下一滑就會(huì)命葬深谷

Holy, these rocks here,All the way up is really slimy. 天吶 這里的石頭 一路上去又濕又滑

I can use a tree.Just to keep off the rock. 我可以爬上這棵樹(shù) 盡量避免接觸巖面

I was filming him as he went across and remember thinking,"that branchis not particularly str--" 我一邊拍他爬樹(shù)一邊就在想 那個(gè)樹(shù)枝夠不夠結(jié)

and as I didn't even finish the sentence in my mind,the branch just "dong",he landed on a cactus. 我還沒(méi)來(lái)得及想完 那個(gè)樹(shù)枝咚的一聲 他掉到了一個(gè)仙人掌上

One cactus, right underneath him.Bam! right on top of it.Brilliant.Places I get myself into. 一個(gè)仙人掌剛巧在下面 他嘭的一聲砸上去了 太神了 正是我想到的地方

But what happened next left me wishing that I hadn't. 但接下來(lái)發(fā)生的 卻讓我后怕不已

I wanted to test my make shift bridge before committing.The log seemed solid. 橫越之前我想試試這座橋的結(jié)實(shí)程度 這條原木似乎很穩(wěn)固

It looked fine, and bear says,"yeah, that'd great" and we thought that would be great,you know, we'd get across there. 看起來(lái)沒(méi)什么 貝爾也說(shuō) 恩 不錯(cuò) 我們也覺(jué)得不會(huì)出什么差錯(cuò) 要知道我們確實(shí)想渡過(guò)去

Just to see this huge tree that was wedged across this gorge just disappeared,once his weight was on it. 他一踏上去 我們就看到這條原木 突然就這么 消失在湍急的河流之中了

God, I hate it when that happens.Crossing gullies and gorges always requires guts and determination. 老天 我最討厭這種情況了 橫跨山溝與峽谷 需要極大的勇氣與決心
