Turkey has defied U.S warnings in taking delivery of a controversial Russian air missile defense system. Washington has threatened Ankara with sanctions and expulsion from America’s F35 stealth fighter program. Turkey is a NATO member. The Pentagon says the Russian system would compromise the F35, and was incompatible with the alliance defense network.
