ix. 關(guān)于狀語(yǔ)從句的其他問(wèn)題

1. as/so far as意為“至于……，就……”, 可以引導(dǎo)狀語(yǔ)從句，表示程度、范圍等。

1）as/so far as sb. know據(jù)某人所知。

2）as/so far as sb. can see在某人看來(lái)。

3）as/so far as sb. judge據(jù)某人判斷。

4）as/so far as sth./sb. be concerned就某人/某事而言，對(duì)某人/某事來(lái)說(shuō)。

5）as/so far as sth. goes就某事而言。

2. 狀語(yǔ)從句的省略條件：

1）主從句的主語(yǔ)一致，從句的謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞是be的某種形式

He fell off the tall tree while (he was) playing in it.

他在樹(shù)上玩的時(shí)候從上面掉了下來(lái)。

Her mother works very hard although (she is) badly ill .

她媽媽工作很努力盡管病得很厲害。

2）從句的主語(yǔ)是it，從句的謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞是be的某種形式

If (it is) necessary I'll have the letter copied.

如果必要的話，我可以請(qǐng)人把這信復(fù)制一下。

If (it is) possible , I should like to have two copies of it.

可能的話我希望有兩本。

As scheduled , they met on January 20 at the Chinese Embassy.

他們按原計(jì)劃于1月20日在中國(guó)大使館見(jiàn)了面。

3. 幾種常見(jiàn)的可省略的狀語(yǔ)從句：

1）if/unless +主語(yǔ)+ be的條件狀語(yǔ)從句

Unless (it is) well managed, the work cannot be finished in time.

這項(xiàng)工作不可能如期完成，除非妥善管理。

2）although/though/even if/even though +主語(yǔ)+ be的讓步狀語(yǔ)從句

He knows a lot though (he is) a child .

盡管他是個(gè)孩子，卻知道得很多。

3）when/while/as/before/after/until/till+主語(yǔ)+be的時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)從句

Be careful when (you are) crossing the street .

過(guò)馬路的時(shí)候要當(dāng)心。

4）as/as if +主語(yǔ)+be的方式狀語(yǔ)從句

He was in a hurry as if (he was) looking for something.

他如此匆忙好像在找什么東西。

5）as/than +主語(yǔ)+be的比較狀語(yǔ)從句

They will try to put the plan into practice as quickly as (it is) possible.

他們將盡快把這個(gè)計(jì)劃付諸實(shí)施。

4. 狀語(yǔ)從句省略后的幾種情況：

1）連詞+形容詞（if necessary/possible, when very young, wherever possible ...）

Fill in the blanks with articles where necessary .

在空格中必要的地方填入冠詞。

2）連詞+名詞（as if a fool, although a child ...）

He always acts as if a fool .

他總是表現(xiàn)得像個(gè)傻瓜一樣。

3）連詞+分詞(when arriving, until asked to, even if invited to, than expected ...)

Don't go to the party even if invited to .

即使受到邀請(qǐng)也不要去參加晚會(huì)。

4）連詞+不定式（as if to speak ...）

He opened his mouth from time to time as if to speak .

他張了張嘴，好像要說(shuō)什么話。

5）連詞+介詞短語(yǔ)（while at college, as if in search of something ...）

He looked here and there as if in search of something .

他瞧瞧這里看看那里好像找什么東西。
