The answer is “Fill in the blanks”. The Chinese for it is “你猜猜看。”or “你推測一下。”Another situational dialogue, let’s look at:
Rose:I can see that Jack has a new suit. Why?
Richard:You try to fill in the blanks.
A: Oh, I get it. He bought it for his graduation ceremony.
Here are some phrases which are worth making a calculation. They are:get a divorced,come on,bury...for... graduation ceremony.
