（1）shall用于第二、三人稱的陳述句，表示說(shuō)話人的許諾
例句
a. You shall have the money back next week. =I promise you will have…
下星期你就可以拿到錢了。
b. If he passes the examination he shall have a bicycle. =I promise he will have…
若他能通過(guò)考試，他就能得到一輛自行車。
（2）shall用于第二、三人稱的陳述句，還表示說(shuō)話人強(qiáng)烈的意愿，甚至是威脅
例句
a. You shall pay for this.
你一定會(huì)為此付出代價(jià)。
b. They shall do as they are told.
他們一定要按照吩咐的去做。
（3）在法律條文、規(guī)章制度中，我們常用shall表示“必須”
Each competitor shall wear a number.
每位參賽人員必須佩戴號(hào)碼牌。
（4） shall用于第一、三人稱的一般疑問(wèn)句中，表示“建議”
a. Shall I buy you a gift?
要不要我給你買份禮物？
