今天，我們要和大家聊的是疫情反復(fù)之下的美國(guó)（The United States under the repeated epidemic）。

一.Status of Recurrent Outbreaks美國(guó)疫情現(xiàn)狀

據(jù)美國(guó)CDC（疾病控制和預(yù)防中心）報(bào)告：

截至北京時(shí)間2022年1月23日，in the last 30 days，total cases達(dá)到了61,732,283。

837, 274 have been fatal.死亡人數(shù)為837, 274。

美國(guó)還存在著some ongoing issues with vaccination：79.2% 的人打過(guò)至少一只疫苗within the approved age range（獲批準(zhǔn)的年齡范圍）。

隨著疫情vicious cycle（惡性循環(huán)）的繼續(xù), and new variants become prominent新變異的毒株變得顯著。

美國(guó)現(xiàn)在疫情流行的變異毒株是omicron（奧密克戎）。

一些輕癥病人得不到治療：Some mild cases go untreated.

對(duì)大多數(shù)的患者來(lái)說(shuō)，他們并不serious，所以他們只是stay at home and quarantine，直到they’re tested negative（陰性），就可以外出了。

美國(guó)人民現(xiàn)在把疫情看作是一場(chǎng)普通的flu（流感），如果感染了疫情，他們只是覺(jué)得“I got a cold”。雖然疫情死亡率比較高，they’re not sacred.因?yàn)樗劳鋈藬?shù)中，很多是old generation（老年人），還有一些人是有pre-existing conditions（已存在疾?。?/p>

There is a growing fear. 雖然恐懼在增加，但是，there hasn’t been any major hogging like the initial spread.

大多數(shù)人只有在必要的時(shí)候going to work or getting groceries，但也是盡量避免 parties, movies, clubs, and bars。

To reduce the spread，大多數(shù)的人選擇work from home，學(xué)生上課也是online或者online和in person（面授課）交替上。

四.The Mentality of the American People美國(guó)人民的社會(huì)心態(tài)

對(duì)新冠疫情，人們have slowly accustomed themselves（已經(jīng)適應(yīng)了）。

已經(jīng)意識(shí)到疫情嚴(yán)峻性（the severity of this pandemic）的人，會(huì)確保他們自己are fully vaccinated with the booster dose（加強(qiáng)針）。

對(duì)于那些不相信疫苗的人（who are not convinced about the vaccinations），have been restricted from going to a lot of public places（出行受限）。

出行不僅要出示health code（健康碼），還要出示vaccination card（疫苗接種卡）。

人們現(xiàn)在只能take precautions（采取預(yù)防措施）, follow CDC protocols（遵循CDC協(xié)議） and go on about their life on a day to day basis（繼續(xù)日常生活）。
