The whole train of thought did not occupy a second.

I had no idea that such individuals did exist outside of stories.”

我真想不到除了小說(shuō)以外，實(shí)際上竟會(huì)真有這樣人物存在。"

Sherlock Holmes rose and lit his pipe.

福爾摩斯站了起來(lái)，點(diǎn)燃他的煙斗。

“No doubt you think that you are complimenting me in comparing me to Dupin,” he observed.

“Now, in my opinion, Dupin was a very inferior fellow.
