Apologize to your sister.

It's about time.
I'll time for lunch. "Yeah, it's about time."
比較地道的表示是It's about time.
About time表示“該……的時候了”,句型It's about time… It's about time I went home.“是我回家的時候了?!?Time和不同介詞搭配構(gòu)成的短語還有:on time表示“準時”,in time表示“及時”,比如,but for the storm, we would have been in time.“要不是這場暴風雨我們會及時到的?!?/p>
表示“已經(jīng)沒有時間了”,可以說:Time is up.或者Time is running out. The contract runs out at the end of the month.“合同本月底到期?!?/p>

a blue streak
第一種用法是:“跑的像電一樣快”(to go like a blue streak).
第二種用法是:“連珠炮似的講話”(to talk a blue steak).
英國人把這種人比喻為talk off a donkey's (a dog's, a horse's) hind leg,是指話說的天花亂墜或叨嘮不休,把驢、狗或馬的后腿都講斷了。
The motorcyclist had gone like a blue streak toward Baker Street.
Once she starts talking, she's talk a blue streak.
