65　the other和another

　the other 和another 都可以用作代詞，表示“另一個”，但the other 表示已知的兩個人或物中的另一個，another 則指不定數(shù)目（3個或3個以上）中的任何一個，或同類中的另一個。

This shirt is a little small. Please give me another . 這件襯衫有點小，請給我拿另一件。

That's quite another matter. 那是另一個問題。

She held a pen in one hand and a book in the other (hand). 她一只手拿著一支鋼筆，另一只手拿著一本書。
