397　go on doing sth., go on with sth.和go on to do sth.

1　go on doing sth. 和 go on with sth. 都表示“繼續(xù)做某事”，前后所做的是同一件事；go on后跟動名詞，不可跟名詞，go on with后跟名詞。

She went on working after a short rest. 她休息了一會兒又繼續(xù)工作了 。

She went on with the work after a short rest.

Let's go on talking . 我們繼續(xù)談話吧 。

=Let's go on with the talk .

Please stop talking and go on with your work. 別說話了，接著干活吧！

2　go on to do sth. 表示“接著做，停止后再做”，指中止一件事而改做另一件事。

She went on to show us around the school. 她接著又帶我們參觀了學校。（先同我們談話，接著又…… ）

They went on to learn Lesson Seven. 他們接著學習第7課 。（學完第6課后，接著學習…… ）

They went on learning Lesson Seven. 他們繼續(xù)學習第7課 。（為同一課 ）
