吉卜林寫給12歲兒子的勵志詩《如果》 中英文對照

　　蕓蕓眾生，誰不想成功，誰不想令世人矚目，詩人在詩中展示了成功背后，包含多少辛酸，經歷多少磨難，忍受多少痛楚。有道是“天將降大任于斯人也，必先苦其心志，勞其筋骨”。如果我們能正視成功前的種種困難，勇于接受挑戰(zhàn);失敗了，何畏懼，重頭再來。那樣，我們便成為了一個頂天立地之人。

　　邁克爾·杰克遜的墓志銘就是下面這首詩《如果》，作者是英國諾貝爾文學獎獲得者——拉迪亞德•吉卜林。讓我們來細細品味一下杰克遜傳奇的一生是否如詩所吟。

　　If you can keep your head when all about you

　　Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;

　　(作者拉迪亞德•吉卜林：十九世紀末英國詩人，曾旅居印度，游歷美國、南非、加拿大等國家，于1907年獲得諾貝爾文學獎。他的詩仿佛在不經意中完成，卻往往產生巨大反響。一位作家這樣評價拉迪亞德•吉卜林：“不僅在文學上，乃至在世界上的所有英語國家中，他都被認為是最具影響力的人。”
