Two of the fairest stars in all the heaven,

Having some business, do entreat her eyes

To twinkle in their spheres till they return.

What if her eyes were there, they in her head?

The brightness of her cheek would shame those stars,

As daylight doth a lamp;her eyes in heaven

Would through the airy region stream so bright

That birds would sing and think it were not night.

See, how she leans her cheek upon her han d!O, that

I were a glove upon that hand,

That I might touch that chee k!

Juliet:

Ah me!

Romeo:

She speaks!

O,speak again, bright ange l!for thou art

As glorious to this night, being o'er my head

As is a winged messenger of heaven. Unto the white-upturned wondering eyes

Of mortals that fall back to gaze on him. When he bestrides the lazy-pacing clouds

And sails upon the bosom of the air.

Juliet:

O Romeo, Romeo!where fore art thou Romeo?

Deny thy father and refuse thy name;

Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love,

And I'll no longer be a Capulet.

Romeo:

（Aside.）Shall I hear more, or shall I speak at this?

Juliet:

Tis but thy name that is my enemy;

Thou art thyself, though not a Montague.

What's Montague?It is nor hand, nor foot,

Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part

Belonging to a man. O, be some other nam e!

What's in a name?That which we call a rose

By any other name would smell as sweet;

So Romeo would, were he not Romeo call'd,

Retain that dear perfection which he owes

Without that title. Romeo, doff thy name,

And for that name, which is no part of thee

Take all myself.

Romeo:

I take thee at thy word.

Call me but love, and I'll be new baptiz'd;

Henceforth I never will be Romeo.

Juliet:

What manart thouth at thus be screen'dinnight

So stumblest on my counsel?

Romeo:

By a name

I know not how to tell thee who I am:

My name, dear saint, is hateful to myself,

Because it is an enemy to thee.

Had I it written, I would tear the word.

Juliet:

My ears have yet not drunk a hundred words

Ofthattongue's utterance, yet I know the sound;

Art thou not Romeo, and a Montague?

Romeo:

Neither, fair maid, if either thee dislike.

Juliet:

How cam'st thou hither, tell me, and wherefore?

The orchard walls are high and hard to climb,

And the place death, considering who thou art,

If any of my kinsmen find thee here.

Romeo:

With love's light wings did I o'erperch these walls;

For stony limits cannot hold love out. And what love can do, that dares love attempt;

Therefore thy kinsmen are no stop to me.

Juliet:

If they do see thee, they will murder thee.

Romeo:

Alack, there lies more peril in thine eye

Than twenty of their sword s!look thou but sweet,

And I am proof against their enmity.

Juliet:

I would not for the world they saw thee here.

Romeo:

I have night's cloak to hide me from their sight;

And, but thou love me, let them find me here.

My life were better ended by their hate,

an death prorogued, wanting of thy love.

我在黑夜中仰望你，像塵世的凡人一樣，驚呆了，瞻仰著長著翅膀的天使，駕著白云緩緩地滑行，劃破了天際。

朱麗葉：

哦，羅密歐，羅密歐！你為什么偏偏叫羅密歐呢？

否認(rèn)你的父親，拋棄你的名字吧，

如果你不愿意，只要你發(fā)誓愛我，

我就不再是凱普萊特了。

羅密歐：

（自語）我是繼續(xù)聽下去，還是現(xiàn)在就和她說話？

朱麗葉：

只有你的名字是我的仇敵。

你即使不姓蒙太古，你仍然還是你。

名字是什么？它不是手臂不是腳，

不是胳膊也不是臉，更不是身體的其他任何部分。

啊，換個名字吧！

名字算什么？人們叫作玫瑰的那種花，

換個名字也同樣芬芳！

羅密歐也一樣，如果換個名字，

他那種可愛的完美，也不會有絲毫的改變。

羅密歐啊，改掉你的名字吧，

請接受我的一切來補償你那空名。

羅密歐：

那么我便聽你的話。

只要你肯做我的情人，我便立刻去重新受洗，

從此以后不再叫羅密歐了。

朱麗葉：

你是誰，竟敢在黑夜里躲躲閃閃偷聽人家講話？

羅密歐：

無法告訴你，我的名字。親愛的圣女，我自己都痛恨我的名字，因為它是你的仇敵。如果我把它寫在紙上，一定把它撕個粉碎。

朱麗葉：

雖然你沒有多說話，可是我已分辨出了你的聲音，你不是羅密歐嗎，一個蒙太古家的人？

羅密歐：

不是，美人，如果你不喜歡。

朱麗葉：

你是怎么進來的，告訴我，從哪里來的？

這花園的墻又高又難爬，如果被我的家人發(fā)現(xiàn)你在這兒，他們絕不會讓你活命的。

羅密歐：

我乘著愛的輕翼飛過高墻，因為土石的界限絕不能禁阻愛情。凡是愛情的力量所能做到的，它都可以做到，所以你的家人絕不是我的阻礙。

朱麗葉：

如果他們看見你，會殺了你的

羅密歐：
