    動名詞是英語動詞的一種非謂語形式。它在句子中的用法一般在教材和語法書中都有較為詳細(xì)的講解。但在實際應(yīng)用中，動名詞還有不少特殊句型和用法，現(xiàn)點擊如下：

一． 單個詞語或短語后接動名詞

1． On+動名詞=as soon as

  On arriving at the village, he found it changed greatly.

2.       worth +動名詞

Whatever is worth doing at all is worth doing well.

3.       without so much as +動名詞=even

She went away without so  much as saying good-bye.

4.       on the point of +動名詞=be going to do

The firemen arrived just as the house was on the point of giving away.

5.       can’t help +動名詞=be unable to refrain from doing

He couldn’t help laughing when he heard the funny story.

6         come near+動名詞=almost do
