The Golden Compass
黃金羅盤(pán)

The first novel in English novelist Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy. The fantasy novel is set in a universe parallel to our own and tells of Lyra Belacqua's journey north in search of her missing friend and her imprisoned uncle. Actually "The Golden Compass" is the North American version of its title, but it's somehow more well-known than the original British title Northern Lights.
英國(guó)小說(shuō)家菲力普·普曼的《暗物質(zhì)三部曲》的第一部。故事發(fā)生在與我們的宇宙平行的另一個(gè)世界中，講述了萊拉·貝拉克一路向北，尋找她失蹤的朋友和被囚禁的叔叔的故事。“黃金羅盤(pán)”其實(shí)是該書(shū)北美版的標(biāo)題，卻不知為何比英國(guó)版標(biāo)題《北方之光》更為人熟知。
