“暖氣”的英語是heating(英國英語)或heat(美國英語)。
現(xiàn)在大部分暖氣系統(tǒng)的原理是:在一個地方把水加熱,然后熱氣順著已經(jīng)安好的管道到達(dá)各個住戶。這種系統(tǒng)叫central heating,也就是我們經(jīng)常說的“集中供暖”。
有時候,我們會說這樣的話,“我家的暖氣壞了,摸著根本就不熱。”這個“暖氣”是指與供暖系統(tǒng)連接的散熱器,對應(yīng)的英語是radiator。
用暖氣就要涉及到暖氣費(fèi),“暖氣費(fèi)”的英語是heating costs(請注意是復(fù)數(shù)),而“交暖氣費(fèi)”叫pay the heating bill,現(xiàn)擴(kuò)充一下交各種費(fèi)的說法:
