Inspired by the classic fairy tale involving an evil queen, a beautiful young princess, her handsome prince and seven dwarves, the upcoming "Snow White and the Huntsman" (which opens June 1) aims to take it up a few notches with a bolder, more modern take on this childhood story.

Starring Charlize Theron as Queen Ravenna, Kristen Stewart as Snow White and Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman, this fantasy action-adventure is certainly not your mother's "Snow White." Theron's Ravenna looks far more wicked and vicious than Disney's G-rated version. Forget about making poisoned apples and turning yourself into a hag; that's kid stuff. Queen Ravenna literally sucks the life out of young maidens with her bare hands, disappears in a flash of her cape, and commands armies with supernatural powers and weaponry. Plus, she plans to eat Snow White's still-beating heart.

In this dark and epic telling of the old Grimm fairytale, the evil Queen Ravenna (Charlize Theron) is in danger of becoming the second fairest of them all, behind her stepdaughter and prisoner Snow White (Kristen Stewart). The Queen sets out to rid herself of the Snow White problem, but Snow White escapes into the Dark Forest, so the Queen sends the Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) after her. The Huntsman finds Snow White, but ends up becoming her ally, as do a septuplet of dwarves. Eventually an army rallies to the cause and Snow White leads them all against the dark forces of the Queen.
