Liu Xiang experienced the most agonizing time on Tuesday when the Achilles injury that forced him out of the 110m hurdles heats in Beijing four years ago ended his London Olympics campaign.

劉翔于周二經(jīng)歷了最痛苦的時(shí)刻，因跟腱傷痛無緣參加4年前北京奧運(yùn)110米欄預(yù)賽的劉翔征戰(zhàn)倫敦奧運(yùn)時(shí)再次因腳傷摔倒出局。

Feng Shuyong, head of the China Track and Field Administrative Center, said at a news briefing just after the heat that the initial diagnosis was that Liu had ruptured his Achilles tendon. The injury is the same one he had in Beijing.

中國田徑運(yùn)動管理中心主任馮樹勇在預(yù)賽后的新聞發(fā)布會上說，初步癥斷為劉翔腳跟腱斷裂，情況與北京奧運(yùn)上遭遇的情況一樣。

In the last several years he has had good medical care, but it has still bothered him. An Achilles injury is almost impossible to recover from fully. Feng said he didn’t expect the situation in the heat because over 90 percent of ruptures of the Achilles tendon have no sign.

過去幾年，劉翔治療情況良好，但是腳部傷痛仍然困擾著他。跟腱損傷幾乎是不可能完全恢復(fù)的。馮樹勇說，因?yàn)?0%的跟腱損傷是沒有任何征兆的，所以劉翔沒有預(yù)見到腳傷會在預(yù)賽復(fù)發(fā)。

Before the London Games, Liu Xiang already made himself a sports and cultural icon in China.

在倫敦奧運(yùn)會前，劉翔就已經(jīng)成為中國體育和文化的標(biāo)志性人物。

Liu Xiang was born on July 13, 1983 in Shanghai. His 2004 Olympic gold medal was the first in a men’s track and field event for China. He is the first Chinese athlete to achieve the triple crown of athletics: World Record Holder, World Champion and Olympic Champion.

劉翔生于1983年7月13日，在2004年雅典奧運(yùn)上獲得的金牌是中國在男子田徑賽事上獲得的第一塊獎牌。他是中國首位獲得“三冠王”的運(yùn)動員：世界紀(jì)錄保持者，世界冠軍，奧運(yùn)冠軍。

In the 2008 Beijing Games, Liu withdrew from the 110 meter hurdle due to an injury in his right achilles tendon. In 2009 and 2011, he recovered from the injury. In the 2011 IAAF Diamond League, Liu Xiang defeated David Oliver with a world-leading mark of 13.07 seconds, which marked his return to a world class level.

2008北京奧運(yùn)，劉翔因?yàn)橛夷_跟腱損傷退出110米欄比賽。2009年-2011年，劉翔腳傷恢復(fù)。在2011年的國際田聯(lián)鉆石聯(lián)賽上，劉翔以13.07秒的世界領(lǐng)先成績打敗大衛(wèi)-奧列佛，這也意味著劉翔已恢復(fù)到世界一流水平。

In 2012, Liu Xiang won at the Prefontaine Classic with 12.87 seconds, albeit with wind-assistance of 2.4 meters per second.

2012年，劉翔以12.87秒的成績在普里方騰田徑大獎賽上奪冠，相當(dāng)于每秒2.4米。
