奧巴馬竟說(shuō)禁詞“黑鬼”？

　　本周一，美國(guó)總統(tǒng)奧巴馬接受播客主播馬克•馬龍采訪，就不久前發(fā)生的白人槍手襲擊南卡羅來(lái)納州查爾斯頓市一座黑人教堂事件發(fā)表觀點(diǎn)，并破天荒地說(shuō)出了帶有濃厚種族歧視色彩的禁詞——“黑鬼”(nigger)，立即在社交媒體上引起很大反響。他在采訪中表示，不在公共場(chǎng)合稱黑人為“黑鬼”不代表種族主義已經(jīng)不復(fù)存在，種族主義烙印仍存在于當(dāng)今美國(guó)社會(huì)。

　　白宮發(fā)言人歐內(nèi)斯特在隨后的記者會(huì)上告訴記者，奧巴馬故意使用這一極具煽動(dòng)性的詞語(yǔ)是為了闡述自己更深刻的觀點(diǎn)。

　　
U.S. President Barack Obama on Monday (June 22) ignited a storm of social media debate when he used a racial epithet in an interview posted online that discussed race relations following the recent killings of nine black churchgoers.

　　"It's not just a matter of it not being polite to say 'nigger' in public. That's not the measure of whether racism still exists or not. It's not just a matter of overt discrimination," Obama, the first black U.S. president, told Mark Maron, host of the "WTF" podcast, in an hour-long chat.

　　White House spokesman Josh Earnest, at a daily briefing with reporters on Monday, said Obama intended to be provocative by using the word and to illustrate a larger point.

上文中提到的“nigger”(黑鬼)一詞是對(duì)黑人的蔑稱，極為粗魯，一般人都極其避諱使用該詞。在美國(guó)，對(duì)于非洲后裔的稱謂有好幾種，如有色人種(colored)、黑佬(Negro)、黑人(black)、非裔美國(guó)人(Afro-American)及美籍非洲人(African American)等。禮貌的說(shuō)法是Afro-American 或 African-American。對(duì)于非洲后裔絕對(duì)不要用 Negro或 nigger。Negro來(lái)源于西班牙語(yǔ)和葡萄牙語(yǔ)，原本是黑色的意思。后來(lái)因奴隸主階層對(duì)黑奴都惡狠狠地稱之為Negro，該詞成了“黑奴”、“黑鬼”的同義詞，在美國(guó)被認(rèn)為含有明顯的歧視含義。
