China has around 212 million people aged 60 andolder, accounting for 15.5% of the population,according to the National Health and Family PlanningCommission. That figure has risen by roughly 8.6million per year over the past five years and is set to grow further.

Nichii initially focused on Beijing and coastal areas and plans to expandinland, including into Chongqing.
