美國(guó)單身母親"嫁給自己"

要是目前這樁婚事出現(xiàn)什么問題，這名新娘可怪不了別人。

Beautiful Existence—a 42-year-old mother of twofrom Seattle who legally changed her name from Desiree Longabaugh—spent $7,000 to marry herself under the Eiffel Tower in Paris after going through a painful divorce 10 years ago.

該女子現(xiàn)年42歲，來自西雅圖，是兩個(gè)孩子的母親。她通過合法途徑，將自己的名字從德西蕾·隆格巴改成了“美麗的存在”。10年前經(jīng)歷了痛苦的離婚后，如今的她來到巴黎埃菲爾鐵塔下，花了7000美元“嫁給自己”。

"After years of exploring different theories on how to understand myself, self-marriage feltright," she told The Sun.

她對(duì)《太陽報(bào)》表示，“多年來，我一直在探尋不同的途徑去認(rèn)識(shí)自己，而嫁給自己已證明是個(gè)很好的歸宿。”

Existence said she always dreamed of tying the knot in Paris and decided she would have asmall ceremony there last June — right around her birthday—complete with a photographerand three of her closest friends.

“美麗的存在”稱，她一直夢(mèng)想在巴黎舉辦婚禮，因此決定于去年6月——她的生日月——完婚。參加婚禮的除了一名攝影師，還有她的三位好友。

As her one-year anniversary with herself approaches, Existence is feeling happier than ever.

結(jié)婚一周年紀(jì)念馬上快到了，“美麗的存在”感到了從未有過的幸福。

"I don't worry at all about being in a couple now," she said, adding that both her sons fully support her.

她說：“現(xiàn)在我再也不用擔(dān)心夫妻關(guān)系了。”她的兩個(gè)兒子也全力支持她。

For now, self-marriages are not legally recognized, but she thinks that will change in the nearfuture.

目前，“嫁給自己”尚未獲法律認(rèn)可，但她認(rèn)為這種狀況在不遠(yuǎn)的將來會(huì)改變的。

"There are a lot of people, women especially, who are not subscribing to the regular definitionof marriage anymore," she said.

她說：“很多人，尤其女性，已不再認(rèn)同傳統(tǒng)的婚姻定義。”
