Earlier Thursday, Obama held a series of meetings with leaders. He met with South KoreanPresident Park Geun-hye and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to discuss the North Koreanthreat following Pyongyang's January nuclear test and a long-range missile launch inFebruary.

Pyongyang also was among the focal points when Obama sat down later with Chinese PresidentXi Jinping.
奧巴馬晚些時候還會見了中國國家主席習近平,朝鮮核項目問題也是雙方的討論重點。
"We want to enhance communication and coordination on the Korean nuclear issue andother regional and global issues," said Xi at the start of the talks.
習近平一上來就說,“我們希望在朝鮮核問題以及其他地區(qū)和全球問題上加強聯(lián)絡與合作。”
Washington views Beijing, Pyongyang's ally, as key in enforcing U.N. sanctions against NorthKorea for its weapons development.
華盛頓認為,北京作為朝鮮盟友,是聯(lián)合國制裁朝鮮措施能否落實的關(guān)鍵因素。
