曼哈頓發(fā)生未遂恐襲 肇事者被捕

A man is in custody after he allegedly attempted to detonate a pipe bomb in a terrorist attack in an underground passageway near the busy Port Authority bus terminal in New York on Monday morning.

一名男子涉嫌周一早上在紐約繁忙的港務局巴士總站附近的一個地下通道企圖引爆一枚土制炸彈，以發(fā)動恐怖襲擊。此人已被羈押。

James O’Neill, New York’s police commissioner, said 27-year-old Akayed Ullah suffered burns after the improvised explosive device he was carrying partially exploded at 7.20am. Three other people suffered minor injuries.

紐約警察局長詹姆斯•奧尼爾(James O'Neill)表示，27歲的阿卡耶德•烏拉(Akayed Ullah)攜帶的土制爆炸裝置在早上7時20分發(fā)生部分爆炸，他本人受到灼傷。另有三人受輕傷。

“This was an attempted terrorist attack,” said New York mayor Bill de Blasio.

“這是一起未遂恐怖襲擊。”紐約市長白思豪(Bill de Blasio)表示。

The Department of Homeland Security said the suspect came to the US in 2011 after presenting a passport displaying an F43 family immigrant visa. “The suspect is a lawful permanent sesident from Bangladesh who benefited from extended family chain migration,” said Tyler Houlton, a DHS spokesperson.

美國國土安全部(DHS)表示，嫌疑人于2011年憑借護照上的F43家庭移民簽證入境。“嫌犯是來自孟加拉國的合法入境永久居民，受益于非直系親屬移民鏈。”美國國土安全部發(fā)言人泰勒•霍爾頓(Tyler Houlton)表示。

The New York Police Department said the explosion happened in a pedestrian tunnel that runs between the bus terminal and Times Square along 42nd Street. It is heavily used by commuters in the bustling Midtown section of the city.

紐約警察局表示，這起爆炸發(fā)生在一條沿著42街、連接巴士總站和時代廣場(Times Square)的行人隧道，地處熙熙攘攘的曼哈頓中城，有大量通勤乘客使用。
