百度成為首家加入國際性AI組織的中國企業(yè)

China's internet search giant Baidu has become the first Chinese company to join a US-led AI (artificial intelligence) group committed to addressing the challenges and impacts of artificial intelligence.

近日，中國互聯(lián)網(wǎng)搜索巨頭百度，成為了第一個(gè)加入由美國主導(dǎo)的一個(gè)人工智能組織的中國企業(yè)。該組織致力于應(yīng)對人工智能帶來的挑戰(zhàn)以及影響。

The Partnership on AI (PAI) said in a statement that Baidu had, in recent years, evolved into a diverse technology conglomerate, with ventures in autonomous driving, smart assistance and AI platform services.

人工智能合作組織(PAI)在一份聲明中表示，百度近年來已發(fā)展成為一個(gè)多元化的技術(shù)集團(tuán)，在自動(dòng)駕駛、智能輔助和人工智能平臺服務(wù)方面都有涉獵。

Baidu has pushed forward with a series of initiatives aimed at limiting AI's unintended consequences. The Chinese internet leader has put "safety and security" first when developing autonomous driving, the PAI said.

百度已經(jīng)推出了一系列旨在限制人工智能意外后果的舉措。PAI表示，這家中國互聯(lián)網(wǎng)行業(yè)的領(lǐng)軍企業(yè)，在開發(fā)自動(dòng)駕駛技術(shù)時(shí)，把“安全和可靠性”放在了首位。

 

 

Baidu is currently working on three new AI products, with Apollo being the world's largest opensource autonomous driving platform.

百度目前正在研發(fā)三款新的人工智能產(chǎn)品，其中阿波羅是世界上最大的開源無人駕駛平臺。

Its two other AI products are DuerOS, a voice enabled digital assistant, and Baidu ABC, a smart cloud for the enterprise market.

該企業(yè)的另外兩款人工智能產(chǎn)品是語音數(shù)字助理DuerOS，以及針對企業(yè)的智能云服務(wù)Baidu ABC。

"Admitting our first Chinese member is an important step toward building a truly global partnership," said Terah Lyons, PAI's executive director.

PAI執(zhí)行董事泰拉·萊昂斯表示：“百度成為PAI第一個(gè)中國成員，標(biāo)志著PAI朝著建立真正的全球伙伴關(guān)系邁出了重要一步。”

The growth and scope of work on AI in China is extensive, and any conversation about its future that does not involve China is an incomplete conversation, Lyons said.

萊昂斯稱，人工智能在中國的發(fā)展和影響是很廣泛的，任何有關(guān)未來人工智能的探討，如果不涉及中國，那都是不完整的。
