第八批在韓志愿軍烈士遺骸將歸國(guó)

China will receive the eighth batch of Chinese soldiers' remains from the Republic of Korea in September, the Chinese Ministry of Veterans Affairs said on Monday.

退役軍人事務(wù)部7月26日發(fā)布消息稱(chēng)，第八批在韓志愿軍烈士遺骸將于今年9月歸國(guó)。

According to a decision made by officials from China and the ROK at a meeting in Beijing on Monday, a ceremony will be held in the ROK on Sept 2 for the handover of the remains.

中韓兩國(guó)官員當(dāng)日在北京舉行磋商，根據(jù)雙方達(dá)成的共識(shí)，雙方將于9月2日在韓國(guó)舉行烈士遺骸的交接儀式。

The two sides also agreed to deepen their cooperation in joint search, excavation and identification of other remains, the Chinese ministry said in a news release.

同時(shí)，雙方表示將進(jìn)一步深化兩國(guó)在聯(lián)合搜尋、發(fā)掘、鑒定在韓中國(guó)人民志愿軍烈士遺骸領(lǐng)域的合作。

Commanded by Peng Dehuai, a total of 2.9 million Chinese People's Volunteer Army soldiers fought in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea (1950-53), and nearly 200,000 of them died in combat.

1950年至1953年，中國(guó)人民志愿軍參加抗美援朝戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)，彭德懷任司令員，幾年間共290萬(wàn)余人次入朝作戰(zhàn)，近20萬(wàn)名中國(guó)人民志愿軍將士獻(xiàn)出了寶貴生命。
