Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani left the country on Sunday night, while Taliban forces entered the capital of Kabul and took control of the presidential palace.

8月15日晚，阿富汗總統(tǒng)加尼離開(kāi)阿富汗，塔利班武裝人員已進(jìn)入首都喀布爾，并控制了阿富汗總統(tǒng)府。

Ghani confirmed on his Facebook page late on Sunday he has left the country, saying the move was intended to prevent bloodshed and that the Taliban is now responsible for protecting the honor and wealth of the Afghan people.

Ghani did not mention his current location in the Facebook post.

A curfew has been imposed in Kabul starting at 9 pm local time on Sunday to prevent violence.

Afghan acting Interior Minister Abdul Sattar Mirzakwal said on Sunday "power will be peacefully transferred to a transitional government."
