法律上的親戚

A couple drove down a country road for several miles, not saying a word. An earlier discussion had led to an argument and neither of them wanted to concede their position.
As they passed a barnyard of mules, goats and pigs, the husband asked sarcastically, "Relatives of yours?"
"Yep," the wife replied, "in-laws."
一對夫婦在一條鄉(xiāng)間小路上開車行駛了好幾里路，沒有說一句話。他們剛剛進(jìn)行過一場爭論，沒有人想承認(rèn)對方對了。
當(dāng)他們經(jīng)過一個養(yǎng)著騾子、山羊與豬的農(nóng)場時，丈夫挖苦地說：“這些是你的親戚嗎？”
“是的，”妻子回答，“法律上的。”
Tips:這里為什么說是法律上的（in-laws)呢？因為在英文中，mother-in-law意指婆婆或岳母，father-in-law意指公公或岳父等……總之這里的in-laws指的是丈夫家的親戚。
