A police offlcer in a small town stopped a motorist who was speeding down Main Street.“But offlcer,”the man began,“I can explain.”
“Just be quiet,”snapped the officer.“I’m going to let you cool your heels in jail until the chief gets back.”
“But,officer,I just wanted to say...”
“And I said to keep quiet!You’re going to jail!”
A few hours later the officer looked in on his prisoner and said,“Lucky for you that the chief’s at his daughter’s wedding.He’ll be in a good mood when he gets back.”
“Don’t count on it,”answered the fellow in the cell.“I’m the groom.”

幾個(gè)小時(shí)以后,警官來(lái)看他的這位囚犯,說(shuō)道:“你的運(yùn)氣來(lái)了,我們局長(zhǎng)正在參加他女兒的婚禮。他回來(lái)時(shí)一定會(huì)情緒很好。”
“別指望了,”牢房里的那家伙答道,“我是他女兒的新郞。”
