1. enter 指進(jìn)入主角的網(wǎng)站(web site)玩血肉橫飛、殺氣騰騰的電腦游戲。
2. Wuss 此處為不可數(shù)的集體名詞(collective noun)。
3. the lot 此處為the many的同義字。lot另有“批”及“空地”之意,如a lot of goods(一批貨),parking lot(停車場(chǎng))。
4. Turnaround 掉頭,回轉(zhuǎn)(不及物動(dòng)詞)。此處應(yīng)該分開寫成turn around兩個(gè)字。Turnaround合成一個(gè)字是名詞,為車輛(公交車、地鐵火車、計(jì)程車等)回轉(zhuǎn)處,或車、船、飛機(jī)往返所需要的時(shí)間。另如economic turnaround(經(jīng)濟(jì)的好轉(zhuǎn)),product turnaround (產(chǎn)品的出廠、退回、修理周期),turnaround time指某過程或周期中所需要的時(shí)間。文中Time與Turnaround大寫旨在強(qiáng)調(diào)。

4. court 即球場(chǎng)(尤指籃球場(chǎng)、網(wǎng)球場(chǎng)、排球場(chǎng)、羽毛球場(chǎng))。
5. opening game 指賽季開始時(shí)該隊(duì)的首場(chǎng)比賽。
