Nowadays there's a tendency that the campuses of famous schools have become hot tourist attractions and many travel agencies plan the visit to famous schools as one of their profitable projects. Thus there arises a heated discussion on whether the campuses should be open to the public and my opinion is that it really does good to society with my reasons as follows.
To begin with,I think that the famous schools should not only educate students but also spread a kind of culture that encourages people in society to approach science and art. That is to say,if the campuses become certain places which people tend to visit frequently, people could be influenced by the academic atmosphere and become more willing to study, which will furthermore form a knowledge-oriented society. In the second place, opening campuses to the public also benefits the students and teachers in the schools themselves. They'll find themselves good examples set to younger children or respected as more knowledgeable people, which will greatly inspire them in doing their studies and researches and help them make more achievements.Last but not least,a visit to key universities enables high school students who are preparing for their majors to get an idea of what they lack and to make progress purposefully. This experience can help them establish more realistic goals in order to get themselves improved afterwards.
In a nutshell, opening the campuses of famous schools to the public is by all means more than a creative travelling program in that it advocates more academic social environment and benefits us individuals and even the whole society.
