On the first day of herwork, Sally found that a class full of problems was waiting for her. Sixteachers had quit before her. When she walked into the classroom, it was chaos:two boys were fighting in the far corner, yet the rest of the class seemednot to notice them; somegirls were chatting and some were running about; paper, foodpackagesand other garbage were littered around…. Just when she was about to speak, astudent rushed in and pushedheraside! Hewas twenty minutes late!
Sally walked onto theplatform, picked up a piece of chalk and wrote on the blackboard: “Rule 1: Weare family! “ All students stopped to look at her. And she continued with Rule2, Rule 3… .In the following weeks, Sally worked out 10 class rules and postedthem on the walls of the classroom. She patiently explained all the rules tothe students and required everyone to follow them.
Surprisingly, Sally was notdriven out like the former teachers; instead, she won respect from thestudents. Over the year, she witnessed gradual change in the class. At thegraduation ceremony, just as she expected, she was very proud to stand with aclass of care, manners and confidence.

As can be seen from thearticle above, the intelligent teacher Sally managed to keep the chaos class inorder and win respect from her students eventually by applying good rules. This story shows clearlythe significance of class rules.
As for our class, the most serious problemrequiring to be resolved urgently is that some students tend not to concentrateon lessons but to read meaningless novels or play cellphones secretly, which has damaged thestudying atmosphere of our class. In order to settle the tough problem,I recommend that those caught doing such things should read aninspiring book every month and share it with all the other students. From my point of view, not only can this approachprevent them wasting precious time in class, but also arouse their interest in reading good books, from which they willbenefit a lot.In addition,it will contribute to creating a good environment to read books inour class.Undoubtedly,it will be of great value to every student in our class.
