李華和Larry今天要和在他們的朋友Jenny一起去釣魚(yú)。李華會(huì)學(xué)到兩個(gè)常用語(yǔ)：go ballistic和get a move on。

LH: Jenny怎么這么還不來(lái)啊。 我們已經(jīng)等了20分鐘了。 看見(jiàn)她我非和她算賬不可。

LL: Hey, calm down Li Hua. Don't go ballistic on Jenny when she gets here, there might be a good reason for her being late.

LH: 你說(shuō)不要對(duì)Jenny怎么樣？Ballistic? 我就知道ballistic missile，彈道導(dǎo)彈。

LL: That's different. I said, don't go ballistic. To go ballistic on someone means to get really angry, lose control and start screaming at this person.

LH: 原來(lái)你是說(shuō)不要對(duì)Jenny大發(fā)脾氣， 我當(dāng)然不會(huì)了。我確實(shí)討厭別人遲到，但是我決不會(huì)對(duì)人大聲嚷嚷，禮貌還是要的。

LL: Oh really? What about that time you went ballistic on one of your students in Chinese class?

LH: 那個(gè)學(xué)生作弊，我當(dāng)然得訓(xùn)斥了他兩句呀！但是，我也沒(méi)有對(duì)他大發(fā)雷霆， I didn't go ballistic on him。 要是你，恐怕就會(huì)go ballistic了。

LL: Ok, then, what about the time that guy almost hit you with his car, and you were so angry - you definitely went ballistic on him.

LH: 那個(gè)人邊開(kāi)車邊打電話，差點(diǎn)撞到我和一位老太太。我當(dāng)然非常生氣了。你可以說(shuō)，我是發(fā)脾氣了，I did go ballistic on him。 不過(guò)那是特別情況。我差一點(diǎn)命都沒(méi)了。

LL: Didn't you tell me before that you used to go ballistic on your old roommate all the time?

LH: 沒(méi)錯(cuò)，我以前常跟我的同屋發(fā)脾氣。 可是你知道，每天我要作功課了，她總是大聲放那種搖滾樂(lè)，我跟她說(shuō)了還不聽(tīng)。過(guò)了一個(gè)月，我實(shí)在受不了才對(duì)她發(fā)脾氣的。

LL: Well, I definitely remember I heard you talking to someone in Chinese on the phone the other day, and it sounded to me like you really went ballistic on them.

LH: 你聽(tīng)到我在電話上跟人發(fā)火了？那是我表姐。 不過(guò)我并沒(méi)有跟她發(fā)脾氣呀。你今天是怎么了， 你老是指責(zé)我，不斷地翻老賬。 你要是再?zèng)]完沒(méi)了，我就對(duì)你不客氣了。 I'll be going ballistic on you.

LL: I'm sorry, you're right, I shouldn't tease.

LH: 什么？你這么一 本正經(jīng)的，原來(lái)是在逗我呀。 真氣死人了。

LH: Larry， Jenny還沒(méi)有來(lái)， 我們還要等多久??？

LL: I think we've waited long enough. She must have overslept. Oh well, let's get a move on.

LH: 我肯定她睡過(guò)頭了。一般她是很準(zhǔn)時(shí)的。不過(guò)Larry，你說(shuō)get a move on，那是什么意思啊？

LL: To get a move on means to hurry up, to start going somewhere.

LH: 我明白了。 To get a move on的意思是趕快走。昨天我在上課的路上遇見(jiàn)Jenny， 她說(shuō)，We had better get a move on，or we'll be late。當(dāng)時(shí)我還不太清楚什么是get a move on?，F(xiàn)在才清楚她是讓我趕快走，不然就要遲到了。

LL: Right, OK, well, let's get a move on then, it's getting late.

LH: 好吧，噢，Larry，對(duì)不起，我把防曬油忘在宿舍里了， 請(qǐng)你等一下。

LL: Don't worry. I have some sunscreen right here. Now come on, it's almost six thirty - we need to get a move on.

LH: 好吧， 那我就用你的防曬油吧。

(Cell phone rings)

LH: 很可能是Jenny打來(lái)的電話， 讓我來(lái)接吧。

LL: (sighs) Oh great！Tell her to get a move on. If she isn't here in five minutes we have to leave.

LH: 對(duì)，我們最多只等5分鐘， 過(guò)期不候。Larry, 要是我和我爺爺去看電影，我想催他趕緊走，能對(duì)他說(shuō)get a move on嗎？

LL: No way, that would be rude.

LH: 我也這么想呢！ 你要是對(duì)長(zhǎng)輩說(shuō)get a move on是不太禮貌。對(duì)同年齡的人或年紀(jì)比你小的可以這么說(shuō)，是嗎？

LL: Sure, telling someone your own age or younger to get a move on is fine. I remember once when I was waiting in a traffic jam in New York I went ballistic and started yelling at the other cars to get a move on.

LH: 那你不能在紐約開(kāi)車，紐約堵車是常事。你每次碰到堵車就大喊大叫？叫了也沒(méi)用。 看來(lái)你也太沒(méi)禮貌了。 剛才居然還批評(píng)我。

LL: Hey, there's Jenny, let's get a move on before the fish stop biting.

天李華學(xué)到了兩個(gè)常用語(yǔ)。一個(gè)是go ballistic，意思是大發(fā)雷霆。另一個(gè)常用語(yǔ)是get a move on，意思是趕快走。
