今天我們要給大家介紹兩個(gè)美國(guó)人經(jīng)常用來(lái)指好朋友的字。大家可能都已經(jīng)很熟悉英文里的friend這個(gè)字，friend的意思就是朋友。但是，美國(guó)人還有一些比較口語(yǔ)化的說(shuō)法。一個(gè)很普遍的字就是：buddy。Buddy這個(gè)字在軍隊(duì)里特別普遍，但是一般平民用的也非常多。Buddy這個(gè)字已經(jīng)有一百五十多年的歷史了，它是來(lái)自brother這個(gè)字，因此，buddy這個(gè)字可以說(shuō)是指那些和你親如兄弟一樣的朋友。比如說(shuō)，一個(gè)曾經(jīng)參加過(guò)越南戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)的美國(guó)退伍軍人難以忘懷他在戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)中的經(jīng)歷，他說(shuō)：

例句-1: What sticks most in my mind is all the good buddies I saw killed there. I'll remember their faces as long as I live, because they were like brothers to me.

這位退伍軍人說(shuō)：在我腦子里印象最深的是那些我親眼看到被殺害的好朋友。我這一輩子也忘不了他們的臉，因?yàn)樗麄兙拖袷俏业挠H兄弟一樣。

Buddy這個(gè)表示好朋友的字是不分男女的。下面這個(gè)例子就是一個(gè)男學(xué)生在說(shuō)他一位要好的女朋友：

例句-2: Sally and I don't have any romantic interest in each other. We're just good buddies who come from the same town and enjoy having a cup of coffee and talking about people we both know.

他說(shuō)：我和莎莉都沒(méi)有談情說(shuō)愛(ài)的意思。我們是同鄉(xiāng)，也是好朋友。我們喜歡在一起喝杯咖啡，談?wù)劥蠹艺J(rèn)識(shí)的人而已。

美國(guó)口語(yǔ)里還另外有一個(gè)指好朋友的字，那就是：sidekick。Sidekick是指那些非常忠實(shí)的朋友，每當(dāng)你需要的時(shí)候，他們總會(huì)在你身邊幫忙的。

下面是一個(gè)準(zhǔn)備參加同學(xué)會(huì)的人說(shuō)的話:

例句-3: I'm really looking forward to the tenth reunion of the class of 1983. For one thing it's a chance to see my old sidekick Billy Bob. We roomed together, played side by side on the football team--well, he was my best buddy back in the good old days.

這個(gè)人說(shuō)：我真是迫不及待地想去參加83屆的第十次同學(xué)會(huì)。這是我見(jiàn)到老朋友比利鮑伯的一個(gè)機(jī)會(huì)。我和他那時(shí)住在一個(gè)房間里，在足球隊(duì)里一起踢球，他真是我當(dāng)年最好的朋友。

我們下面再來(lái)舉個(gè)例子：

例句-4: In the old cowboy movies I used to see as a boy, all the heroes had a sidekick. The sidekick was never as smart or handsome or brave as the hero but he was always there to help out in times of danger.

這個(gè)人說(shuō)：在我小時(shí)候看的那些西部電影里，所有的英雄人物都有一個(gè)親密的朋友。而這個(gè)朋友總是沒(méi)有那個(gè)英雄那么聰明、英俊和勇敢，但是每當(dāng)發(fā)生危險(xiǎn)的時(shí)候，他總是在那里全力相助。
