美國(guó)習(xí)慣用語(yǔ)：920 across the board 全面地，整體地

昨天我看了一部很不錯(cuò)的電影。情節(jié)很棒，畫面優(yōu)美，音樂(lè)動(dòng)聽，而且里面每個(gè)角色的表演都可圈可點(diǎn)。這讓我想到一個(gè)習(xí)慣用語(yǔ)：across the board. Across the board 的意思是“全面地，整體地”。在我剛才提到的影片中，the performances were excellent across the board, 所有演員的表演都非常出色。 在生活中，取得整體的成功或進(jìn)步并不容易。下面這段話中的學(xué)生就取得了這樣的成績(jī)。我們來(lái)聽一聽：

例句-1：Last semester, I encouraged Julie to work harder in order to get better grades. She certainly took my advice. She just showed me her report card and she's made dramatic improvement. Not just in one or two classes, but across the board. Amazingly, she's made progress in every subject.
