e.g. <1>I wish they’d finish the chess game while we’re still young. They’ve been playing for three hours already.

        <2>He was just sneaking out the back door of the museum when the police caught him red-handed with the paintings stolen.

motive ：動機

e.g. <1>He’s got lots of money so he had no motive to rob the bank.

             他有很多錢，所以沒有動機去搶銀行。

      <2>He wanted to show his girlfriend that he could drive but he didn’t have a car. That was his motive for stealing one.

            他想展示給他的女朋友他可以開車，可是他沒有車，這就是他要偷一輛車的動機。
