哈利波特與魔法石The Journey from Platform Nine and Three-quarters (十

　　The narrow path had opened suddenly onto the edge of a great black take. Perched atop a high mountain on the other side, its windows sparkling in the starry sky, was a vast castle with many turrets and towers.

　　"No more'n four to a boat!" Hagrid called, pointing to a fleet of little boats sitting in the water by the shore. Harry and Ron were followed into their boat by Neville and Hermione. "Everyone in?" shouted Hagrid, who had a boat to himself. "Right then -- FORWARD!"

　　And the fleet of little boats moved off all at once, gliding across the lake, which was as smooth as glass. Everyone was silent, staring up at the great castle overhead. It towered over them as they sailed nearer and nearer to the cliff on which it stood.

　　"Heads down!" yelled Hagrid as the first boats reached the cliff; they all bent their heads and the little boats carried them through a curtain of ivy that hid a wide opening in the cliff face. They were carried along a dark tunnel, which seemed to be taking them right underneath the castle, until they reached a kind of underground harbor, where they clambered out onto rocks and pebbles.

　　"Oy, you there! Is this your toad?" said Hagrid, who was checking the boats as people climbed out of them.

　　"Trevor!" cried Neville blissfully, holding out his hands. Then they clambered up a passageway in the rock after Hagrid's lamp, coming out at last onto smooth, damp grass right in the shadow of the castle.

　　 They walked up a flight of stone steps and crowded around the huge, Oak front door.

　　"Everyone here? You there, still got yer toad?"

　　Hagrid raised a gigantic fist and knocked three times on the castle door.

狹長(zhǎng)的小路豁然開(kāi)朗，進(jìn)入眼簾的是一個(gè)黑色的大湖。一個(gè)建有許多角樓和高塔的巨大的城堡坐落在兩座峻嶺之間，窗戶的玻璃在滿天的星空下耀耀生輝。

　　"一只船只能坐四個(gè)人。"哈格力指著泊在岸邊的一列小船說(shuō)道。哈利、羅恩、尼維爾和荷米恩坐上了同一只船。

　　"是不是全都上了船？"一人獨(dú)坐一只船的哈格力喊道："那好，咱們出發(fā)！"一字排開(kāi)的船隊(duì)同時(shí)啟程，仿佛是一起在水平如鏡的湖面滑行。所有的孩子都默不作聲，抬頭仰望著那宏偉的古堡。當(dāng)船隊(duì)越來(lái)越接近古堡所在的峭壁時(shí)，孩子們感覺(jué)古堡仿佛就屹立在自己的頭頂上一樣。

　　"低下頭！"當(dāng)船來(lái)到峭壁邊緣的時(shí)候，哈格力大聲喊道。孩子們都非常聽(tīng)話地照著命令做。小船載著他們穿越了峭壁表面上面遮住人口的一層長(zhǎng)青藤幕簾，沿著一條穿行于古堡正下方的黑色水道前進(jìn)。良久，他們才抵達(dá)一個(gè)地下港。在那里，他們下了船，便沿著滿是巖石和鵝卵石的山路向上攀爬。

　　"嘿，那個(gè)孩子！這是你的癩蛤蟆嗎？"正在檢查船只的哈格力發(fā)現(xiàn)了失蹤多時(shí)的癩蛤蟆。"謝天謝地！"尼維爾高興得高舉雙手，活蹦亂跳。孩子們?cè)诠窳Φ臒艄庖龑?dǎo)下，繼續(xù)沿著岸石間的一條通道向上攀登，最后終于來(lái)到了古堡陰影下一塊潮濕而平整的草地。

　　他們走上一段石梯，聚集在古堡巨大的橡木正門前。

　　"人都到齊了嗎？嘿，小伙子，你們癩蛤蟆還在嗎？"哈格力舉起他那巨大的拳頭用力在大門上敲了三下。
