Jef: Honey, what are we having tonight?

親愛的，今天晚上吃什么?

Monica: Well, I don't want to brag about it. You are so lucky today. I am making my special spaghetti with ferns.

我真不想吹啊。你今天很幸運。我今天要做特別菜意大利蕨菜面。

Jef: That's funny. Ferns? I don't want to make you feel bad. But I read about something in a science magazine that they would cause cancer.

有意思。蕨菜?我不想讓你難過。可是我在一份科技雜志上看過說他們會致癌的。

Monica: Are you serious? Are you just scaring me because you want to eat steak?

你是認(rèn)真的?不是因為想吃牛排僅僅嚇嚇我的吧。

Jef: No, I mean it. You know how much I love your food.

我認(rèn)真的。你知道我有多喜歡你的菜。

Monica: How come greens hurt people? Is there anything safe to eat now?

蔬菜怎么會傷人呢?還有什么吃起來比較安全的?

Jef: Easy, Chef! People just don't know about it yet. Can we just grab something to eat? So we won't miss the movie.

輕松點，大廚!人們只是還不知道而已。我們可不可以隨便吃點兒?那樣我們就不會錯過電影了。

Monica: The movie is about three hours from now. I assure you that we'll make it and our sweet spaghetti will make it.

電影要三小時后呢。我保證我們肯定能趕上。我的寶貝意大利面也肯定行。

Jef: What? Still want to have the deadly noodles?

什么?你還想要毒面條?

Monica: It took me two hours to prepare them. Don't you want to die with me, coward?
