A:Okay,so how about one not related tofood: all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy,
好,
現(xiàn)在來說一個(gè)和食物無關(guān)的習(xí)語:只工作不娛樂使人愚鈍,
 
B:Which I guess means if you just work all the time and you don't rest and relax and have fun,then you'll just be a boring person.
我認(rèn)為這個(gè)習(xí)語的意思是,如果你一直工作,不休息、不放松、也不玩,那你會(huì)成為一個(gè)無趣的人。
 
A:Well, actually any kind of extreme has health consequences.
實(shí)際上任何極端情況都會(huì)產(chǎn)生健康影響。
 
B:We talk little bit about toxicity and deficiency as roots of any health problems,
毒性作用和營養(yǎng)缺乏是所有健康問題的根源
 
A:so when you don't have enough of something,or to0 much of something,both cause problems.
如果你身體里缺乏某種物質(zhì)或是某種物質(zhì)過多,都會(huì)引發(fā)問題。
 
B:Wow,that's fascinating.Okay,so let's talk about sleep. The early bird gets the worm.

A:SoI think it means that people that go to bed early and wake up early,they're more productive?Do you think that's what it means?

B:Well,I'm not sure.

A:Honestly,I've seen people really individualize their life, and some people go to bed late and wake up late,and they're still productive.

B:And in different times of our lives we have different periods when it's better to go to bed early and wake up earlier,

A:and other times it's okay to go to bed lat and wake up late.
有時(shí)晚睡晚起也可以。
 
B:But in general,yes,Chinese medicine talks a lot about their times for the different meridians that represent organs.
不過總的來說,中醫(yī)認(rèn)為不同的子午線對應(yīng)不同的器官。
 
A:For example, from11:00 in the evening until 3:00in the morning,it's Liver and gallbladder time.
舉例來說,晚上11點(diǎn)至次日凌晨3點(diǎn)是肝和膽工作的時(shí)間。
 
B:So if you're up during that time,these organs do not rejuvenate, they don't repair, and it's tremendous stress for them.

A:So a lot of times if you get the disease,the best-case scenario in modern medicine is just to control the symptoms and to slow down the progression.
