A: Hey, Joel, you got your hair cut.
 
嗨，喬爾，你剪頭發(fā)了。
 
B: You can notice that. I don't have much hair left. You can see that it got cut.
 
你注意到了。其實(shí)我本來就沒有多少頭發(fā)，你還能注意到我剪發(fā)了。
 
A: Yeah, why don't you grow it out?
 
是啊，可是你為什么不留長呢？
 
B: Actually, you can't notice right now cause it's cut so short but my hair's curly, so if I let it, and I'm bald on top now, so if grow it out I look like Bozo the clown.
 
你現(xiàn)在可能看不出來，因?yàn)槲业念^發(fā)剪得很短，我是卷發(fā)，可是我現(xiàn)在開始謝頂，如果我留長，那我看上去很像小丑“波索”。
 
A: Did you have long hair before?
 
你以前留過長發(fā)嗎？
 
B: Actually in college I had long hair. I grew it out pretty long and then, you know, my hair is really blond. I don't know if you can tell now. It's gotten a little bit darker, but it was down to my shoulders and really curly.
 
我上大學(xué)的時(shí)候留過長發(fā)。當(dāng)時(shí)我的頭發(fā)非常長，你知道我是金發(fā)。我不知道現(xiàn)在你能否看出來?，F(xiàn)在我的發(fā)色有點(diǎn)深了，當(dāng)時(shí)我是齊肩發(fā)，而且是卷發(fā)。
 
A: Wow.

B: Yeah.

A: When did you start losing it?
 
你什么時(shí)候開始掉頭發(fā)的？
 
B: I noticed sort of at the end of college, when I had long hair, because it didn't grow nearly as long in the front. I always wanted it to be really even: long in the front and back, but it was, it grew much faster and much thicker in the back than in the front.
 
我是在大學(xué)快畢業(yè)時(shí)意識到的，因?yàn)槲伊糸L發(fā)時(shí)前面的頭發(fā)和后面的不一樣長。我一直希望前后能一樣長，可是后面的頭發(fā)總是比前面的頭發(fā)長得快，而且也比前面的頭發(fā)厚。
 
A: So when it's all gone, are you going to start combing it all over?
 
那你謝頂以后，你有把頭發(fā)都梳到中間嗎？
 
B: No, I don't want to have the comb over. I, actually, my wife likes bald heads, so I'm lucky, so I just cut it really short. It's funny though. When I was really young, well when I was born, I was bald until I was maybe one years old or so, and I had very thin white straight hair, so it was perfectly straight, until I was about 13 years old, and as soon as I hit puberty, "booing"! My hair suddenly got curly, so as a self-conscience young adolescent, that was a but of a shocking experience for my hair to go from straight to curly almost overnight. Yeah.
 
不，我不想那樣做。實(shí)際上，我妻子喜歡謝頂?shù)娜?，所以我很幸運(yùn)，我只是把頭發(fā)剪得很短。這很有趣。我小的時(shí)候，我出生以后就一直不長頭發(fā)，直到9歲我才長出非常細(xì)的白色直發(fā)，當(dāng)時(shí)頭發(fā)非常直，可是在我13歲的時(shí)候，剛進(jìn)入青春期我的頭發(fā)就突然變成卷發(fā)了，對于一個自主的青少年來說，頭發(fā)幾乎在一夜之間從直發(fā)變?yōu)槎贪l(fā)是非常令人震驚的經(jīng)歷。
