　　中國(guó)是世界上最古老的文明之一。構(gòu)成現(xiàn)代世界基礎(chǔ)的許多元素都起源于中國(guó)。中國(guó)現(xiàn)在擁有世界上最快的經(jīng)濟(jì)并正經(jīng)歷著一次新的工業(yè)革命。中國(guó)還啟動(dòng)了雄心勃勃的太空探索計(jì)劃，其中包括到 2020年建成一個(gè)太空站。目前，中國(guó)是世界最大的出口國(guó)之一，并正在吸引大量外國(guó)投資。同時(shí)，它也在海外投資十億美元。2011 年，中國(guó)超越日本成為世界第二大經(jīng)濟(jì)體。

　　“中國(guó)是世界上最古老的文明之一。”句中 “是”說(shuō)明這是一個(gè)主系表結(jié)構(gòu)的句子。最古老：the most ancient。“…之一”：on of +名詞的復(fù)數(shù)。所以第一句話就是：China is one of the most ancient cultures in the world.“構(gòu)成現(xiàn)代世界基礎(chǔ)的許多元素都起源于中國(guó)。” 主干是“元素起源于中國(guó)”這里起源可用 come from/derive from/originate from/stem from 等，其他的都是定語(yǔ)，“現(xiàn)代世界基礎(chǔ)”就是“現(xiàn)代世界的基礎(chǔ)”，“A 的 B”翻譯過(guò)來(lái)就是“B of A”,定語(yǔ)中有動(dòng)詞“構(gòu)成”可將它翻譯成定語(yǔ)從句：The various elements which make up of the foundation of modern world derives from China. 還可以省略成分詞作定語(yǔ)后置：The various elements making up of the foundation of modern world derives from China.“中國(guó)現(xiàn)在擁有世界上最快的經(jīng)濟(jì)并正經(jīng)歷著一次新的工業(yè)革命。”“經(jīng)歷”可用 experience/ go through/ undergo 等，“新的工業(yè)革命”就是：new industrial revolution。全句是：Nowadays China possesses the rapidest economy of the world, at the same time, it is undergoing a new industrial revolution.“中國(guó)還啟動(dòng)了雄心勃勃的太空探索計(jì)劃，其中包括到 2020 年建成一個(gè)太空站。”主干是“中國(guó)啟動(dòng)了計(jì)劃”，翻譯過(guò)來(lái)就是：China started a project. 其余都是修飾語(yǔ)。整句話可譯為：China also started an ambitious project of space exploration including one space station built in 2020. 其中，“built in 2020.”又是定語(yǔ)從句省略成分詞做定語(yǔ)的情況。“目前，中國(guó)是世界最大的出口國(guó)之一，并正在吸引大量外國(guó)投資。同時(shí)，它也在海外投資 10 億美元。”這個(gè)句子較長(zhǎng)，但我們可以找出邏輯關(guān)系，它一邊吸收投資一邊自己投資，我們可以用“while”這個(gè)詞，表轉(zhuǎn)折也表進(jìn)行。故可譯為：At present, China is one of the biggest exporting countries.It is absorbing a large amount of investment while investing 1billion dollars overseas. 最后一句“2011 年，中國(guó)超越日本成為世界第二大經(jīng)濟(jì)體。”中有兩個(gè)動(dòng)詞，我們可以將它們譯成并列句：China surpassed Japan and became the second largest economic entity in the world.
